EVALUATION AND MANUAL TREATMENT OF THE FASCIA SYSTEM A AS FUNCTIONAL UNIT-IMPLICATIONS FOR MOVEMENT, DYSFUNCTION, AND IMMUNOLOGY
December 4, 2015 @ 8:00 am - December 6, 2015 @ 5:00 pm UTC+0$650
While the myofascial system is usually discussed in regards to its role in the proper motion of a particular region of the body, this class will look at the fascial system as a whole body functional organ. It will present the latest research about fascia and its biochemical nature and its role in immunology, sensory functions, and the load-bearing and transition of forces of movement.
The lab portion of the class will present treatment techniques that will be specific to various movement dysfunctions. Assessment and treatment will look at the fascial system as an organ, rather than named parts, and how the selected treatment influences immunology.
